This is Northern Quarter's second CD following on from the 2005 release 'One of these songs is about you'

Formed in Loughborough, UK in 2001 Northern Quarter play acoustic based material with influences as diverse as The Magic Numbers, Neil Young, Roger Waters and Mike Scott.

The second CD 'busy missing everything' moves on from the 2005 release with more intimate and personal themes focusing on the pressures of modern life. Those that have listened to the album closely have noticed a loose but clear theme running through the songs.

Northern Quarter also play live around the UK Midlands.

You can hear clips of the tracks on this siteand mke your own mind up but here is what other people have said say about Northern Quarter

"This band are really making a name for themselves. Superb vocals, brilliant arrangements. One of the smoothest original acoustic bands I have ever come across"

Running Horse Music Pub, Nottingham UK

‘One of these Songs is about You’… “A collection of softly spoken acoustic numbers and more upbeat pieces with tracks like 'Giving Up' and 'Time on my Mind' standing out. Its like that CD you get 4 tracks into at a mates house before heading down the road to get your own copy. “

Loughborough Echo

"One of our favourate bands. Sweet harmonies, clever songwriting. A very very talented band. "

Te Runner, Nottingham UK

"Northern Quarter are a band who have quickly established themselves at the top of the tree as far as local acoustic music is concerned… Driven by their lynchpin guitarist singer and songwriter Gerry Farrow aided by fellow singer and songwriter Vicky Warburton, the 5 piece have become a popular draw at the town’s acoustic venues…

As ever the set was a mix of covers and their own material, which included some new songs of which ‘A little bit lost’ was a notable highlight.

Vicky and Gerry are a great pair like a seasoned premiership strike partnership, while behind them the band don’t put a foot wrong. It makes for a good night."
